Job Description

About The Role

Supported by the Service Department the Lube & Tire Technician contributes to the operational efficiency of the shop by performing express services such as; lube, oil and filter changes, tire rotations, mount and balance, and minor maintenance services in accordance to Mainland Ford and manufacturer guidelines, ensuring that our customer’s visits meet and exceed expectations.

Wage: $12.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Trotman Auto Group and Abbotsford Chrysler policies, along with local, provincial and federal laws including those governing the rules of the road, and health and safety
  • Perform maintenance requirements in accordance to manufacturer guidelines
  • Diagnose and report existing conditions and additional repairs to the appropriate parties
  • Communicate with Clients and Service team regarding client vehicle conditions
  • Compose and communicate detailed estimates to service advisors
  • Using good judgment and practicing safe driving skills at all times when operating Company property
  • Remain up to date on manufacturer technical knowledge
  • Assist in housekeeping of the shop and keep your bay clean


  • Minimum 3 months experience in a Lube and Tire Technician related role or AST education.
  • Desire to exceed customer expectations through a “Fix it right the first time” attitude
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines
  • Must possess a knowledge of technical repairs and procedures
  • Valid Class 5/7 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
